NCERT Eligibility Criteria 2024
Assistant Editor:
- Education: Must have a bachelor’s degree, Post Grad Diploma in Book Publishing/Mass Comm/Journalism
- Skill: Five years in editing
- Age: Up to 50 years
Proof Reader:
- Education: Must have a bachelor’s degree in Eng/Hindi/Urdu
- Skill: One year in Proof Reading, Knows how to use a computer
- Age: Up to 42 years
DTP Operator:
- Education: Must have a bachelor’s degree in any subject, One Year Diploma/Cert in DTP
- Skill: Three years in publishing, Knows the right software
- Age: Up to 45 years

Steps to Apply For NCERT Recruitment 2024
- Go to official website: ncert.nic.in, and select the relevant notice from ‘Vacancies’ – ‘Non-Academic’ page.
- Attend the walk-in registration with a copy of the application form.
- Bring your original papers and self-checked copies of the same.
- If SC/ST/OBC, bring valid papers for age ease as per the Government of India’s rules.
- Make sure you meet the rules for schooling and skill.
- Without proper documentation, candidates will not be allowed to appear for the skill test or interview.
- The venue for all activities is the NIE Auditorium, NCERT, Sri Aurobindo Marg, New Delhi.

The steps to get hired are: walk-in registration, document check, and skill test. The registration and document check for Assistant Editors and Proof Readers is on 22 July 2024, and for DTP Operators on 23 July 2024. The skill tests will be on 24 July 2024 for Assistant Editors, 25 July 2024 for Proof Readers, and 27-28 July 2024 for DTP Operators.
