NPCIL Selection Process Steps
The selection steps for the NPCIL Assistant Grade-1 posts have three parts:
- Preliminary Test: Mode – CBT/OMR-Based, Duration – 1 hour, Total Questions – 50 MCQs, Maximum Marks – 150. Sections include General Knowledge & Current Affairs (25 questions), Computer Knowledge (15 questions), English (10 questions). Marking Scheme: +3 marks for each correct answer, -1 mark for each incorrect answer. Medium of the test is English.
- Advanced Test: Mode – CBT/OMR-Based, Duration – 2 hours, Total Questions – 50 MCQs, Maximum Marks – 150. Sections include Quantitative Aptitude (25 questions), Critical Reasoning (25 questions). Marking Scheme: +3 marks for each correct answer, -1 mark for each incorrect answer. Medium of the test is English.
- Skill Tests: The Typewriting Test on PC lasts 10 minutes for typing and 5 minutes for formatting, with a total of 10 marks for formatting and a typing speed requirement of 30 words per minute in English or Hindi. The Computer Proficiency Test lasts 30 minutes with a total of 100 marks, divided into MS Office tasks (4 questions, 20 marks each) and Email Management/Internet Surfing tasks (2 questions, 10 marks each). Candidates need 50% or above to qualify.
